"I had a patient come in the other day who had a significant asymmetry," says double board-certified plastic surgeon Melissa Doft, M.D., who practices in New York City, adding that the patient only wanted filler in the smaller lip. Having work done on the lips is actually one of the most complicated noninvasive facial enhancements a person can get, especially for the growing contingent demanding a natural-looking tweak. But don't be fooled into thinking this is an easy-breezy procedure - quite the opposite. Whatever your motivation for considering lip fillers, you're in good company: more than 3.4 million patients sought soft-tissue filler in 2020 alone. "Many older people have a completely different motivation - they just want their lips to feel closer to how they did 20 years ago" to correct the volume loss that happens over time. "Most younger patients just want a little bit of fullness," she explains. "There are so many reasons that people come to see me about lip injections," says Laurel Geraghty, M.D., a board-certified dermatologist in Oregon. ‘Mathematically beautiful’ is a term used to describe faces with heart shapes, such as those of Hollywood stars.Contrary to popular belief - and likely a solid argument behind the staying power of lip filler - is that lip fillers have many benefits aside from that plumped-up look. However, it has been established via scientific study that the heart shape, sometimes known as a V-shaped face, is the most aesthetically pleasing facial shape. The middle of a woman’s lips expands up first, followed by the sides, as a result of the natural growing process. Pre-adolescent females exhibit a strong, young aspect in Cupid, which is particularly noticeable. The Cupid lip form is the rarest of lip shapes. Have heart-shaped lips and a penchant for vivid colors? Cover them with a fiery lip color that makes your heart race or a retractable creamy crayon in a seductive warm rose mauve color that transforms you into a goddess! What is the rarest shape of lips? Heart-shaped lip shapes have a noticeable cupid’s bow and a bottom lip that is more pointed than the top. If your cupid’s bow has a V form, you have successfully struck the target. Try a pout-perfect lip gloss color to channel your inner princess or a lip gloss with jojoba oil included in a gorgeous bright pink tint. Bow-shaped lips are already pouty and fluffy, so by adding a little lip gloss, you may enhance the form even more. Bow-Shaped Lipsīow-shaped lip shapes are often bigger with a pronounced upper lip that resembles a bow and are endowed with a prominent cupid’s bow. The lip liner should still be in close proximity to your natural lip line and only slightly overhang it and attractive lip shapes. If that’s your thing, you may always slightly extend the line to make the lips appear fuller. Lip liner is your best buddy if you want to highlight your slim lips. Your lips may be naturally thinner or you may notice that as you get older, they lose some of their plumpness. Get ready to emphasize your pout with a lip liner first because thin lips typically demand a little more precision than usual. Thin lip shapes are described as having a lip form that is less full, slimmer than other lip types, and slightly flat. Try a matte formula that gives you the superstar pout you’ve been trying to achieve or a satin soft incredibly comfy formula that comes in a beautiful dark deep chocolate brown shade. Choose a lip color that is one or two shades darker than your natural lip color. Be sure to apply concealer to your top lips for the ideal poise so you can balance the two sides. Top-heavy lip shapes, as the name suggests, are when your upper lips are heavier than your lower lips. It’s not too difficult to solve this one. You can also use a silky smooth product in a rich wine hue to draw attention to your pucker and make your lips look even sexier thanks to its intensely pigmented color. We advise choosing a creamy matte consistency that gives your lips a strikingly deep color that is sure to turn heads. If your lips are larger, bold colors are the way to go. They have a puffy appearance, are balanced equally on both sides, and are chubby. Full lip forms and lip shapes are rather simple to identify.
